Quiet Car

The coach closest to the locomotive on all weekday peak hour trains will be designated as the cell phone free and brief/quiet conversation location.

Quiet does not mean total silence; a certain amount of tolerance to noise is necessary.

Conductors will pass out business cards and may politely ask passengers to adhere to the rules as a reminder; they may ask customers to relocate if necessary.

While sitting in the Quiet Car . . .Quiet Car

  • Refrain from cell phone use; if you must take/make a call, kindly relocate to another car.
  • Please keep the sound off on pagers, cell phones, PDA’s and laptops.
  • Ear buds should be used when listening to music; thank you for keeping the volume turned down.
  • Speak quietly and please keep conversations brief.
